1846034 Bl. Chas 1904015 O'Boyle 1890012 Nevin Informative Process Cure McCartney Howlett

Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Eugene Nevin, Highgate, to Gerald O'Boyle concerning evidence from a Miss McCartney regarding a cure in 1913 and attributed to Charles. This cure had been referred to by a Lt. Col. McCartney, who is evidently a doctor and possibly a relation of Miss McCartney, who now resides in Mexico City and was married about six months ago. Lt. Col, McCartney suggests that he might give his evidence to Msgr. Howlett, Adm., Westminster Cathedral. Eugene does not think Rome would agree to this, but might if appealed to. (See item under serial no. 6117 for follow up to this.)

1846034 Bl. Charles 1904015 G. O'Boyle Rev. T.O'Donnell Informative Process Notaries

Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Rev. T,O'Donnell, Archbishop's Secretary to Gerald O'Boyle regarding the appointment of a second notary (Notarius Actuarius). Law provides for only one notary and archbishop wishes to have a second appointed to assist and replace Fr. O'Donnell when he is not able to attend sessions of the process. A notarius actuarius is quite different from an notarius adiunctis who "comes on later in the game" and so, evidently, could not act as O'Donnell's replacement. Gerald should, therefore, get in touch with the Postulator for the appointment of two notarii actuarii.
