(at the request of pr. curtis) a copy of a rescript received from Rome. (He copies this out in his own hand for Dr. L.) This regards the retrenchment of certain holydays of obligation, such as the Mondays after Easter and Fentecost, the Feast of St. John the Baptist etc. Also concessions regarding the abstinence during Rogation days, and the Fast on wednesdays in Advent.

Lord Kenmare te L. Complains of the conduet of the Rev. Fr. Kirby, in forcing his way into the bouse, which is on Lord Kenmare's property, in Hospital, Ce. Limerick, and which was leased to the former P.P.; asks t.. to appoint to Hospital a clergyman who will not interfere in polities, and whe will respect private preperty.
