An article titled ‘A brief history of the Holy Family Mission’ from 1943 to 1994 compiled from notes by Br. Andrew O’Shea OFM Cap. The article was published in 'Angelus', 34, no. 10 (Oct. 1996) published by the Congregation of Sisters of the Sacred Name of Jesus in Namibia. The article is illustrated with photographs of Irish Capuchin friars who ministered in the Holy Family Mission in Katima Mulilo including Fr. John Grace OFM Cap., Fr. Michael Murphy OFM Cap., Fr. Luke Browne OFM Cap. and Fr. Eugene Mooney OFM Cap. (1934-1998).

Map of Barotse Province in Northern Rhodesia drawn by A.R. Stevens in 1930. The map shows the area from Balovale to Livingstone. The original key to the map shows the locations of mission stations established by the South African General Mission, the Seventh-Day Adventist Mission, the Plymouth Brethren Mission, and the Paris Evangelical Mission Society. Later endorsements on the map (in pencil) show major roads and railways and the locations of missions and schools founded by the Irish Capuchin friars.

Photographic album of Fr. Albert Hayes OFM Cap. (1915-2005). The album contains un-captioned black and white photographic prints. Fr. Albert was resident in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) from 1945-67. The volume contains captioned prints relating to Fr. Albert’s ministry in the country including:
• Bishop Timothy Phelim O’Shea OFM Cap. with first communicants in Livingstone.
• Interior views of the High Altar and Sanctuary of St. Theresa’s Church, Livingstone.
• An aerial view of St. Theresa’s Church and the surrounding suburbs of Livingstone.
• Views of Victoria Falls, Northern Rhodesia.
• Altar servers.
• Excursion trips for Altar servers.
• First Holy Communion Day in Livingstone in 1948 and 1952. The names of the parents and children are given in captions.
• The wedding of Mr and Mrs Butcher in Livingstone.
• Fr. Albert Hayes OFM Cap. (1915-2005) with African religious sisters at an air-strip in Northern Rhodesia.

A collection of colour photographic prints of Victoria Falls and the surrounding area (including Livingstone Island and Forest Gorge) compiled by Br. Andrew O’Shea OFM Cap. The file includes some postcard prints. Some of the prints also show Fr. Hugh Murphy OFM Cap., Br. Daniel O’Brien OFM Cap. and Fr. Declan O’Callaghan OFM Cap. The file includes a typescript copy of an ‘Extract from Dr. David Livingstone’s Missionary Travels on the Zambezi’. The album was compiled by Br. Andrew O’Shea in 1982. The prints are captioned and are held in plastic sleeves. The prints have been removed from the ring folder.
