With a coloured map of the aforementioned premises, measuring 121 feet 0 inches by 143 feet 10 inches. The property is bounded to the south by ‘ground in the possession of Mr Warner’ and by ‘Mr. Mathew’s Chapel’, to the north by premises held by Mr Foley, Mr Wood and Mrs Croft (stables), to the west by ‘Mr Murphy’s concerns’, and to the east by Queen Street. Scale: 40 feet to 1 inch. The lease is annotated on the reverse: ‘Head lease of 1/9/1862 (Warner and Sarsfield). This lease surrendered?’

Copy lease of Robert Warner, Penrose Quay, Cork, shopkeeper, to Fr. Cherubini Mazzini OSFC, Fr. Louis Pellicetti OSFC and Fr. Bernard Precious OSFC, Catholic clergymen, Queen Street, of stores, premises and concerns lately in the possession of the lessor ‘but now in the tenancy of the said lessees’, on Charlotte Quay for 750 years at the yearly rent of £120. With a map showing the demised premises measuring 136 feet 6 inches by 64 feet 3 inches. The original lease is endorsed on the cover: ‘Property west of the Church’. With three copy leases compiled by JC & A. Blake, solicitors, dated 24 May 1950. With a copy memorial of said lease compiled by the Assistant Register of Deeds dated 27 July 1929.

Lease by Nicholas Cummins, Cork, to Russell Deeble, Cork, victualler, of a dwelling house and grounds situated on Shandon Castle Lane, Parish of Saint Mary Shandon, Cork, for 750 years at the yearly rent of £14.

Lease by Mary Foott, widow, and executrix of James Boyce Foott, late of Cork, merchant, to Elizabeth Georgina Howard, spinster and administratrix of Thomas Howard, of a plot of ground on Morrison’s Island for 736 years at the yearly rent of £18 9s 2d. The lease notes that the plot is tenanted by John Foot and contains a dwelling house and stores and measures 65 feet to the front of South Mall, and is situated on Morrison’s Island being part of Dunscombe’s Marsh in the city of Cork. Joshua Browne Ryder, Castlelyons, Cork, to Robert Warner, Cork, master cooper, of a store, offices and concerns situated on Charlotte Quay and on Queen Street, Cork, lately in the possession of Thomas Harvey, for 800 years, at the yearly rent of £60. With attached sketch map of the said premises which are bordered to the south by Charlotte Quay, to the west by Mr Murphy’s concerns and to the west by ‘Mr Theobald Mathew’s Chapel’. The map was drawn by John Deeble, architect, Cork. With copy memorials of said lease made by the Assistant Register of Deeds, 2 July 1929 and 5 June 1950.

Joshua Browne Ryder, Castlelyons, Cork, to Robert Warner, Cork, master cooper, of a stable, coach house and concerns lately in the possession of William Cash and George Evans situated on Queen Street for 800 years at the yearly rent of £25. With attached sketch map of the demised premises delineated in hand-washed colour. The map was drawn by John Deeble, architect, 13 Cook Street, Cork, and is dated 25 Aug. 1845. With a copy memorial of said lease made by the Assistant Register of Deeds, 9 Dec. 1950.

Lease by John Henry Gamble, merchant, to Eugene and Martin J. Collins, merchants, of a ‘store and lofts as now and for some years past in their possession … situate, lying and being in the parish of the Holy Trinity and Borough of Cork’, bounded on the north by premises formerly in the possession of Dr Curtis and now in the possession of William Marsh, to the south and west by another store, yard and premises in the possession of the said lessor (and beyond that Holy Trinity Chapel), and on the east by Queen Street. The said demised premises are delineated in an attached coloured sketch plan. An elevation of store building is also shown. The premises measure 69 feet 0 inches by 54 feet 1 inch. Scale: 20 feet to 1 inch. Surveyed and drawn by Frederick A. Klein, 68 South Mall, Cork, 23 June 1852. An annotation on the front cover indicates that this lease expired in 1951.

Lease by John Cotter Wood, 28 Longford Terrace, Monkstown, County Dublin, to William Adams, Queen Street, Cork, of the dwelling house, yard and premises at No. 13 Queen Street, Cork, for 99 years at the yearly rent of £20. The lease has a note attached from John L. Wood (dated 29 Nov. 1894) to the Provincial Bank of Ireland, Cork, objecting to William Adams depositing this lease with the bank. (See also CA HT/2/1/1/9 and CA HT/2/1/1/21).

Lease by Fr. Cherubini Mazzini OSFC, Fr. Louis Pellicetti OSFC and Fr. Bernard Precious OSFC, Catholic clergymen, Queen Street, and Abraham Sutton, White Street, shop owner, to James O’Connell and others of a large room on the ground floor of the premises lately demised by the lessors from Robert Warner (see CA HT/2/1/2/13) ‘now known as the room of the Third Order of St. Francis’, on Charlotte Quay, for 740 years at the yearly rent of £40. A sketch map of the demised premises (measuring 36 feet by 34 feet) is attached. With counterpart lease and fire policy from Atlas Assurance Company, for the trustees of the Third Order of St. Francis, for ‘their Hall consisting of the ground floor only, at the rear of a store on Charlotte Quay … in the sole tenure of the said Society …’. 25 Mar. 1877.
