The requisitions also ask for negative searches in the Registry of Deeds against Fr. Thomas Matthew O’Connor OSFC, Fr. Michael Leonard Brophy OSFC and Fr. Michael Fidelis Neary OSFC. Sketch map of St. Joseph’s Cemetery ‘5 acres 2 roods 0 perches, late botanic gardens, representatives of Rev. Fr. Theobald Mathew’, bordered by ‘South Spittal Lands’ and by ‘the back road to the cemetery called on [the] city map “Tory Top Lane”’. The map also shows various numbered denominations of land possibly on the former Botanic Gardens' site. A numbered schedule of deeds and lease (nos. 3-16), possibly relating to the aforementioned site, is extant on the reverse of the sketch map.

Probate of the will of Sir William Saint Lawrence Travers

Probate of the last will and testament of Sir William Saint Lawrence Travers, Rosmore, County Cork. He devises and bequeaths to his wife Elizabeth Barbara all his estate and property (real and personal) and appoints her his residuary legatee. Sir William died on 31 Aug. 1877 and his will was proved on 17 Nov. 1877. It is noted in the probate that the ‘effects sworn’ amounted to ‘under £3,000’.
