Newspaper cuttings book. The front cover has a manuscript title: ‘Valuable paper cuttings referring chiefly to Cork Friary and Church in [the] early eighties of the 19th Century. Collected by Fr. Benvenutus Guy OSFC when a student’. The volume contains a numbered index which includes references to the following items:

• Report on the Bishop of Cork’s blessing of the bell at Holy Trinity Church. The index notes that ‘the bell is now over the choir and sacristy. When we returned from France [in] 1879 the bell on Holy Trinity was cracked’.
• Letter to the 'Tablet', London, regarding the condition of Father Mathew Church, Cork, probably written by Mr. Jerome Murphy, described as ‘a most devoted friend to our community’.

The volume consists mainly of cuttings relating to local history, antiquarian interests and articles pertaining specifically to Irish Capuchin history. The volume includes the following article:

• 'The Pioneer', Aug. 1956. The magazine contains an illustrated article on the Father Mathew Rally held in Mardyke in Cork on 24 June 1956. The rally was attended by many Capuchin friars from Holy Trinity Church and the keynote address was given by Fr. James O’Mahony OFM Cap.
• Photographic print of the exterior of Holy Trinity Church, Father Mathew Quay, Cork. It is noted that the Church is listed for preservation in the Cork Draft Plan. 'Evening Echo', 27 Nov. 1968.
• Article (with photographic) print regarding the conferring of Papal award on Bernard Curtis for his loyal and longstanding service as organist in Holy Trinity Church, Cork. The group includes Fr. Alexius Healy OFM Cap. and Fr. Colga O’Riordan OFM Cap. 'Cork Examiner', 24 Nov. 1972.
• Photographic print of the Holy Trinity community on the occasion of the Golden Jubilees of Fr. Brendan O’Callaghan OFM Cap., Fr. Edward Walsh OFM Cap. and Fr. Columbus Murphy OFM Cap. The photograph was taken on 22 Sept. 1948 and was reproduced in the 'South Gate', 22 Sept. 1988.

Copies of 'Coís Tine' (Winter 2006 and Spring 2007) published by the Dominican friars, St. Mary’s, Pope’s Quay, Cork. The articles refer to the works of the Cork Capuchins with local migrant communities. Includes a photograph print of Fr. Kevin Kiernan OFM Cap., the 'Coís Tine' chaplain.

Photographic prints of the sanctuary, altar and interior of Holy Trinity Church, Cork. The prints show the interior both before and after the extensive renovation work which commenced in January 1982. The prints are ink-stamped on the reverse: ‘Brian Wain & Associates, architects, Maryborough Lodge, Douglas, Cork’.

Negative searches in the Registry of Deeds for acts, deeds and wills affecting premises on Charlotte Quay formerly occupied by William Clarke, William Regan and Daniel Murphy. The schedule specifies that the search was for all acts by certain named persons (William Clarke, Sir William Saint Lawrence Clarke, Lady Elizabeth Barbara Clarke Travers, Francis MacNamara and Nicholas Daniel Murphy) from circa 1781-1877.

Correspondence, requisitions on title and other legal documents relating to transactions involving a plot of ground behind Morrison’s Quay. The plot adjoined Father Mathew Hall and occupied a site in the vicinity of the junction of Keeffe Street and Catherine Street. Musgrave Brothers Ltd. sold the plot to the Capuchin friars of Holy Trinity in 1961. Other parties with an interest in the premises included the Cork College of Commerce.

Assignment from Alicia Louisa Seward, 27 Merton Road, Bootle, Lancaster, to Fr. Justin William Hyland OFM Cap., Fr. Michael John O’Shea OFM Cap., Fr. Mel Peter Farrell OFM Cap., Fr. Matthew Donal Flynn OFM Cap., and Fr. Seraphin Thomas Nesdale OFM Cap., Father Mathew Quay, Cork, of the residue of leases dated 4 Dec. 1844 (see CA HT/2/1/1/4) and 1 Mar. 1845 (see CA HT/2/1/1/6) in consideration of £1,000. 20 Mar. 1951. With declarations, searches, solicitors’ correspondence and related records re the claims of the Capuchin friars to title on Seward properties on Charlotte Quay (later Father Mathew Quay) and on Queen Street (later Father Mathew Street). The file includes the correspondence of M.J. Hogan & Sons, solicitors, 50 South Mall, Cork, regarding efforts to trace Alicia Louisa Seward’s title to the aforementioned properties. Deed appointing new trustees to premises on Father Mathew Quay and Father Mathew Street held by an assignment of a lease dated 20 Mar. 1951 (see CA HT/2/1/2/34). The FMC trust, a limited company having a registered office at the Capuchin Friary, Church Street, Dublin, is appointed a trustee in place of Fr. Michael John O’Shea OFM Cap. and Fr.
