With attached sketch map of the said premises which are bordered to the south by Charlotte Quay, to the west by Mr Murphy’s concerns and to the west by ‘Mr Theobald Mathew’s Chapel’. The map was drawn by John Deeble, architect, Cork. With copy memorials of said lease made by the Assistant Register of Deeds, 2 July 1929 and 5 June 1950.

Copy lease of Robert Warner, Penrose Quay, Cork, shopkeeper, to Fr. Cherubini Mazzini OSFC, Fr. Louis Pellicetti OSFC and Fr. Bernard Precious OSFC, Catholic clergymen, Queen Street, of stores, premises and concerns lately in the possession of the lessor ‘but now in the tenancy of the said lessees’, on Charlotte Quay for 750 years at the yearly rent of £120. With a map showing the demised premises measuring 136 feet 6 inches by 64 feet 3 inches. The original lease is endorsed on the cover: ‘Property west of the Church’. With three copy leases compiled by JC & A. Blake, solicitors, dated 24 May 1950. With a copy memorial of said lease compiled by the Assistant Register of Deeds dated 27 July 1929.

A sketch of map of the demised property is endorsed on the verso. Scale: 40 feet to 1 inch. With counterpart and three typescript copies made by J.C. & A. Blake, solicitors, Cork, 22 Nov. 1906.

Lease by William Wise, Cork city, to Robert Hall and Robert Constable Hall, of a store (in the possession of the lessees) situated on Queen Street, for 35 years at the yearly rent of £80. The store is bounded to the north by a store belonging to Pierce Power and by a dwelling house in the occupation of the Constabulary. The property is bounded to the south by a store in the possession of Messrs Crosse and Blackwell Ltd., and by a dwelling house in the occupation of a Mr Sikes, and on the east by an open yard, and on the west by the aforementioned dwelling house occupied by the Constabulary. The file includes a memorandum of agreement (dated 1879) between the aforementioned parties re the construction of additional windows for the better ventilation of the said store.

Lease from John Lecky, merchant, Cork, to Fr. Theobald Mathew OSFC, ‘Provincial of the Order or Society of Capuchin friars, Cork’, of a plot of ground, stores, linnies, tenements and premises situated on Morrison’s Island (otherwise Island Nagay), parish of Holy Trinity, Cork, for 840 years at the yearly rent of £80. With attached sketch map of the said plot which measured 105 feet at the frontage onto Charlotte Quay; 190 feet fronting onto Queen Street; and bordered to the west (140 feet) and north (93 feet) by His Majesty’s Ordnance Stores. Lease by Robert Warner to Thomas Ronayne Sarsfield and others of a piece of ground adjoining Queen Street ‘bounded on the east partly by a store and concerns in the possession of John McNamara, Edward John Gould and Michael McNamara … and to the rear by Mister Dunan’s dwelling house, and on the south by the Chapel of the late Reverend Mister Mathew’, for 750 years at the yearly rent of £40. Endorsed on verso with articles of agreement (dated 15 Apr. 1875) regarding the reduction of the aforementioned rent to £84 12s 4d. With counterpart.
