Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Urban Young, Herne Bay, to Gerald O'Boyle. Urban had acted as Vice-Postulator in the cause of Blessed Dominic and he gives some practical advice to Gerald on how to proceed. Mentions that there would be no objection from Rome to Oswald Donnelly publishing his life of Charles while the process was in progress.
Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - draft of a letter (partial) from Gerald O'Boyle to Msgr. Howlett, Adm., Westminister Cathedral. Gerald mentions the case of Miss McCartney (see item under srial no, 6116) re Lt. Col McCartney who is prepared to give evidence of her cure to the Msgr. Gerald is anxious to know whether the favour mentioned by the Lt.Col. would justify the setting up of a Rogatorial Process in Westminister. (N.B., This draft is only a partial one and there is no reply extant. However, it or another such must have been despatched as a rogatorial process was held in Westmnister at which Dr. McCartney gave evidence v. p IV of Tabella Testum and pp 12 & 36-37 of Summarium Super Dubio at 34-19 (A) or (B))
Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Eugene Nevin, Highgate, to Gerald O'Boyle concerning evidence from a Miss McCartney regarding a cure in 1913 and attributed to Charles. Col, McCartney suggests that he might give his evidence to Msgr. Howlett, Adm., Westminster Cathedral. Eugene does not think Rome would agree to this, but might if appealed to.
