Copy assignment by Jeremiah Easter Esq., County of Essex, Lieutenant, 23rd Regiment of Light Dragoons, to Frances and Grace Blair, Upper Berkeley Street, Dublin. The assignment recites the will made by the late James Montgomery Blair (dated 6 Nov. 1838) and the appointment of Jeremiah Easter as his sole executor (See CA KK/2/1/1/3/1). The deed assigns all the real estate and leasehold property situated in Kilkenny city formerly belonging to James Montgomery Blair and which were bequeathed to Jeremiah Easter by the aforementioned will to his daughters Frances and Grace Blair. Consideration: £100.

Copy assignment from Margaret Empson, Parliament Street, Kilkenny, widow of Joseph Empson, and her children named as Richard Empson, apothecary, Joseph Empson, shopkeeper, John Empson, civil engineer, Montreal, British America, Eliza Jones (née Empson), wife of Robert Patten Jones, Palmerston House, County Kilkenny, Anne Empson, Rathgar Road, Dublin, and Ruth Empson, spinster, Parliament Street, Kilkenny, to Arthur Joshua Boyd, solicitor, The Parade, Kilkenny city, of the freehold properties held by the late Joseph Empson in trust for the children of Margaret Empson aforesaid. With copy schedule of the properties to which the foregoing deed refers. Number eight in the schedule refers to the house and concerns on Walkin Street held under a lease of lives renewable forever dated 25 May 1835. (See CA KK/2/1/1/1/4).

With the consent of Arthur Joshua Boyd, solicitor, and trustee. The assignment has the same attached schedule as appears in CA KK/2/1/1/1/7.

Copy conveyance by Grace and Frances Blair to Richard Bell Robinson of all the right and equity of redemption in houses, tenements, hereditaments and premises situated on Walkin Street, Kilkenny, in consideration of the payment of annual annuity of £20 to Grace and Frances Blair. Robinson to hold said properties forever upon trust to keep said properties in repair, to pay the mortgage interest and also upon trust for Samuel Owen Robinson and Andrew Craig Robinson in equal proportions as tenants in common after the death of the survivor of Grace and Frances Blair. Copy made on c.3 June 1916. It is noted that Grace Blair died on 8 Dec. 1880 and Frances Blair died on 15 Oct. 1884.

Copy probate and will of William Hogan, Kilkenny city. He bequeaths £20 to Fr. Edward Tommins OSFC and the clergy of the Walkin Street Friary for masses for the repose of his soul. The codicil is dated 19 Feb. 1880 and notes that Hogan died on 27 Jan. 1880. Certified copy by James Poe, District Registrar.

Copy will and probate of Joseph Empson, Kilkenny city. He leaves all his property to his wife Margaret for her use and that of their children. The probate was granted on 29 Sept. 1859.

Copy will and probate of Richard Empson, Kilkenny city. He leaves all his freehold and personal property situated in Kilkenny to his wife, Ruth Epsom, subject to several legacies charged upon the said properties for his sons and daughters. It is noted in the will that the house and concerns on Walkin Street are ‘now in the possession of Mr Mathew, Mr Max, Mr Hunt and their tenants’. Ruth Epsom and George Leech are appointed executrix and executor of the will. The probate was granted on 6 Nov. 1820.
