Subscription and membership lists of Third Order brothers attached to the Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny. One of the lists arranges the brothers by district and prefect name (St. Louis, St Patrick’s, St. Columcille and St. Fidelis). The list is endorsed on the verso with a statement of Third Order accounts for 1934.

The minutes provide information in respect of attendance, elections, professions, pilgrimages and others events organised by the local Third Order fraternity. The minutes are signed by spiritual directors.

Expenditure and receipt account book of the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis attached to the Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny. Expenditure accounts include monies for monthly masses, quests, habits and scapulars, and wages for lay staff (such as ‘tertiary chapel woman’). Receipts include monies derived principally from member subscriptions.

Will of Concubhar Ó Muíneacháin, St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny dated 4 Feb. 1931. He bequeaths £350 ‘for masses for my parents, brothers, sisters and self, to the guardian for the time being of the Friary, Kilkenny’ and appoints James Henry and the president of the Third Order attached to the Friary in Kilkenny as his executors. He leaves his books and manuscripts to the Capuchin Friary at Ard Mhuire, County Donegal. The file includes his stock and share certificates (for varying amounts) from the Dublin United Tramways Company, the Keystone Knitting Mills and the Irish-American Oil Company Limited.

Pastoral letters from the Most Rev. Patrick Collier, Bishop of Ossory. The pastorals to the clergy of the diocese are titled: ‘The new discipline on canonical investigations before marriage’ and ‘The confraternity of Christian Doctrine’.

With Fr. [Columbus] Maher’s compliments’. The other print is ink-stamped on the reverse: ‘Rathmines Photographic Studio, 26 Richmond Hill, Dublin’.

The designs are comprised of alternative ‘schemes’ for the confessionals with plans and elevations for their installation. See related correspondence at CA KK/2/4/15.

List of donations to the Tertiary Chapel Building Fund, Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny. The volume relates to donations made almost solely by women (including many members of the Third Order of St. Francis). Entries are initially listed as an index under the name of the subscriber, her address, and the amount of the donation. The remainder of the volume is comprised of an alphabetical list of monthly subscribers. Additional notes are occasionally added to the entries such as ‘Miss Bergin left for Australia in March 1896’. Gilt title to front cover reads ‘Ledger’.
