Group of Capuchin Friars

An image of a group of Capuchin friars. The group includes (second on the left), Fr. Ignatius Collins OFM Cap., (second on the right), Fr. Dominic O'Connor OFM Cap. and (first on the right) Fr. Colman Griffin OFM Cap. A manuscript annotation on the cover is addressed to Fr. Stanislaus Kavanagh OFM Cap. (1876-1965).

Historical Tree of Ireland

A lantern slide of a print titled ‘the historical tree of Ireland’. The print shows Daniel O’Connell addressing Erin and a cleric (most likely Fr. Theobald Mathew OSFC) delivering a blessing at the base of a tree. The tree itself is inscribed with notable events in Irish and British history such as 'Cromwell's Usurpation'.

Holiday Scenes

‘Paget Prize Plate Co., Ltd., Watford’ box. The box contains seven plates. The plates include a view of Ards House (later Ard Mhuire Capuchin Friary) near Creeslough in County Donegal, and a group of five unidentified Capuchin friars walking in a garden (one of the friars has a hand over his face). The other five plates appear to be ‘holiday scenes’ including one of the Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark, and a promenade scene onboard a ship.
