Anson also refers to his own writing projects and to the difficulties being endured because of the war. He writes ‘Life goes on quietly apart from almost daily wailings of the siren. So far Macduff has escaped bombs, unlike many other ports on this north east coast’.

Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. seeking copies of an illustration of a stained-glass window designed by Harry Clarke Studios which was recently installed in St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California. The window was originally displayed at the Irish Pavilion at the New York World Fair. The illustration appeared in ‘The Capuchin Annual’ (1941) which McGucken praises.
