Most of the prints are not captioned and the individuals are unidentified. The volume includes prints of prominent ecclesiastical and political figures and artists. A view of the exterior of the Pro-Cathedral of Saint Nicholas located on the corner of Middle Street and Lower Abbeygate Street in Galway. The building was a Catholic place of worship from 1816 until the new Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and Saint Nicholas was opened in 1965. The former Saint Nicholas Cathedral was deconsecrated and the building now houses a variety of retail outlets.
