• Eugene Carson Blake (1906-1985), general secretary-elect of the World Council of Churches and Dr. Willem Adolph Visser’t Hooft (1900-1985), the retiring general secretary. • Lars Olof Jonathan Söderblom (1866-1931), a Swedish Lutheran clergyman and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (1930). • Dr. John Raleigh Mott (1865-1955), former president of the World Council of Churches and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (1946). • The Most Rev. Charles Henry Brent (1862-1929), an American Episcopal bishop. • Dr. Nikos Nissiotis (1924-1986), a Greek Orthodox religious philosopher.
