File containing illustrations by Fr. Francis Xavier Dent submitted by John Mescal for potential publication in 'The Capuchin Annual'. A letter (19 Mar. 1976) from Mescal to Fr. Henry Anglin OFM Cap. notes that Fr. Dent gave him final versions of his poems and some accompanying illustrations in about 1964, shortly before his tragic death. Mescal notes that poems by Fr. Dent were published in 'The Capuchin Annuals' in 1952, 1953-4, and in 1955, and expresses his hope that Fr. Dent’s final poems and illustrations can be published in the Annual. The file includes a bound volume with sketches titled ‘Mary, Mother of Sorrows’, and many ink illustrations drawn by Fr. Dent 'Annual' from c.1952-61. Includes images of the Nativity, St. Joan of Arc, landscapes and still-lifes. With newsletters from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Highbury, London (May- July 1959).
File containing illustrations for 'The Capuchin Annual' by Fr. Gerald McCann OFM Cap. (1910-1958). These humorous black-ink drawings depict aspects of Capuchin Franciscan life and were regularly published in the 'Annual'. Fr. Gerald also served as assistant-editor of the publication. The themes include Christmas festivities, pranks and mischiefs involving Capuchins (some of the friars depicted, including Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap., were known to Fr. Gerald), sports, music, everyday chores and religious rituals.
File containing illustrations by Kevin Hackett submitted for publication in 'The Capuchin Annual'. Two of the images show fishermen in traditional currachs. One of the remaining images shows a Capuchin friar in a farm setting.
Income and expenditure book of the Capuchin Publications Office. The income entries include monies received from the Association of Patrons of 'The Capuchin Annual' (APCA), advertisements, and the sale of 'Annual' copies. The expenditure entries provide a record of cheque payments. The end pages (pp 373-5) give yearly summaries of cash-on-hand and un-cashed cheques. The entries are routinely signed by the Provincial Bursar and by the Provincial Minister (on visitations).

The volume provides information on income received from individuals and companies in respect of advertisements, subscriptions for copies of 'The Capuchin Annual', from the Association of Patrons of 'The Capuchin Annual' (APCA), and from prize draws. Tax payments on this income are also noted.

Two fire insurances polices covering St. Enda’s School (formerly ‘The Hermitage’) in Rathfarnham, issued to Patrick Pearse by the Hibernian, Fire and General Insurance Limited, 49 Dame Street, Dublin. Both the polices have detailed typescript inventories of the buildings and contents covered by the policies.
Draft and galley-proof of an ‘Invocation of the Blessed Virgin Mary / a translation of a very early Irish poem – perhaps as early as the sixth century’.
Invoices (and estimates) from Dollard Printing House, Mornington Park, Dublin 5, re printing costs for 'The Capuchin Annual'. The file also includes calculations for the costs of printing the 'Annual' from 1973 to 1976. It is noted that there was over a ninety percent increase in printing costs in these years. The total cost for printing 6,288 copies in 1976 was £14,532.24.
