Sets of postcard prints of Irish Saints designed by Richard King (1907-1974) and commissioned for 'The Capuchin Annual'. The prints depict St. Brendan, St. Patrick, St. Ita, St. Fiacre, St. Senan, St. Colmcille, St. Brigid and St. Laurence O’Toole. Each one of the postcards shows the Saint (in colour) on one side, with a postcard layout on the reverse with the name of the Saint, the artist (Risteárd Ó Cionga) and the copyright statement.

Newspaper clippings relating to the Irish Revolution assembled by the editors of 'The Capuchin Annual'. Many of the clippings relate to the role played by the Catholic clergy (particularly the Irish Capuchins) during this period. The file includes:
• An article referring to remarks made by Rev. W.P. Burke in relation to the moral justification of wars. It reads ‘who can call the wretched Dublin business a war? It was backed neither by the mind nor strength of the country’. 'Nationality', 9 June 1917.

• ‘Sinn Feiners and the German Plot’. 25 May 1918.
• ‘Salute the Heroes / Back from the Gates of Death’. The article refers to the release of republican prisoners from Mountjoy Jail and to the roles played by Fr. Augustine Hayden OFM Cap. and Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. The article reads ‘The association of these two much loved Irish Franciscan Friars with the last moments of some of the men who died after the Insurrection of 1916 was recalled by their presence yesterday. … Father Augustine appealed to the crowds whom his voice could reach to be calm. A bound volume containing newspaper clippings containing a transcription by An tAthair Peadar Ó Laoghaire of a medieval text on the life of Colum Cille (also known as Columba) (c.521-597), the founder of the monastery of Iona. The articles also contain translations and textual notes. The clippings are undated, but all the articles are headed ‘Our Gaelic Department / Colum Cille’ and are likely taken from the ‘Cork Examiner’.

The letter encloses a printed notice from John Beresford, 5th Baron Decies, Chief Press Censor for Ireland, asking newspaper editors to refrain from publishing a statement issued by the members of a Cork club of Sinn Féin re an attack on the club by Royal Irish Constabulary (5 December 1917).

Letters from Frank Ryan (Proinsias Ó Riain), An Cumann Gaelach, University College Dublin, to Br. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. re Irish language content in 'The Father Mathew Record' and corrections and emendations to the serial publication of ‘Scéal “Sheandúin”' (by Tadhg Ó Murchadha) in the periodical.

Flier from Anthony Traill to the electors of the University of Dublin (Trinity College). Trail affirms that he ‘shall the Church of Ireland from the misrepresentations of those who seem anxious to make further raids upon the property of the Representative Church Body, by careful financial management, has succeeded in accumulating’. He confirms that in politics he has ‘always been a Conservative’. The file includes a list of committee members supporting Trail’s candidacy.
