The Spanish text translates as ‘Forward to victory over fascism in 1938!’. The greeting in Irish reads ‘Happy Christmas and New Year / from / the Irish Republican Army / “Connolly Battalion” / XV International Brigade / Army of the Republic of Spain / Christmas 1937’.
