Some of the newspaper clippings are of articles reporting on subsequent commemorations of the insurrection. The volume also holds photographs, clippings, and printed ephemera relating to prominent Irish artists and exhibitions of their work.

Senan was visiting England and receiving medical treatment in a clinic on Wimpole Street in London. Dr. Colm A. McDonnell accompanied him for a portion of his trip.
