He suggests that the balance of the monies held for the relief of Polish refugees in Ireland could be used as a contribution towards his proposal. He asks to know the current balance on the account and if the Red Cross still has it.

Copy letter from +McQuaid to Mgr. Felici, regarding the World Congress of the Lay Apostolate. He had discussed the matter with Mr. Veronese and the Irish Ambassador to the Holy See when he was last in Rome. He suggests the Ambassador and possibly Fr. P.C. Crean as suitable delegates. He hopes the Nuncio will approve.

Letter from +McQuaid to +Levame acknowledging receipt of the Circular from the Cardinal Prefect concerning candidates for the priesthood. He states that the instructions are already being strictly observed. He will use the Diocesan retreats to inform the clergy of the wishes of the Holy See.

Letter from +O’Hara to Cardinal D’Alton regarding the International Congress of Catholic Doctors which is to be held in Dublin in June. The Holy See is anxious that this be an opportunity for proclaiming Catholic teaching in the field of medicine.
