              Letter from +Sensi to +McQuaid stating that the 27th International Conference on Public Instruction will be held in Geneva in July. Ireland will be represented by Mr. P. Mac Eoin, Assistant Secretary for Post Primary Education, Department of Education. He asks the Archbishop to have a word with the delegate to ensure his co- operation with the delegation from the Holy See. He encloses a summary of the arguments before the Conference.

              Letter from Mgr. Gerada to +McQuaid stating that the Secretary General of the United Nations has asked for the Holy See’s cooperation in the World Refugee Year. He is asked to draw the attention of the faithful to the difficult situations faced by refugees, to their spiritual and material needs and the necessary cooperation that will ensure a good outcome. He asks that any information given in the Diocese on this subject should be sent to the Secretariat of State.
