Typed copy from a letter regarding John Huston, known as a Communist in Hollywood. Was a Communist, but disowned it when it became fashionable to do so. Is a Nihilist and Amoral. Has no religion, is pagan and materialistic in outlook. Will never understand the Irish. ‘Moulin Rouge’ should never be allowed into Ireland. It makes Sacraments look ridiculous. Producing a film on the poet Raftery “is very bad”. What is the use of reviving the Irish language when a person such as Huston is allowed to produce a film of a great Gaelic Scholar.
