        History

        Brendan Greene was born Patrick Joseph Greene on 4 March 1892 in Navan, County Meath. There is little information available about this friar. He ministered for several years at St. Patrick’s Friary in Wilmington, Delaware. He came to the West Coast after the friars withdrew from Wilmington in 1963. He spent some time at St. Francis High School in Flintridge, California. Father Brendan died suddenly on 2 August 1966 while on vacation in Hermiston, Oregon. He is buried at Old Mission Santa Inés, Solvang, California.
