Hernon, City Manager, regarding the use of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939, to vest in the Corporation lands at the O’Brien Institute, Clareville and Glasnevin for food production. The Archbishop regrets the form of the letter as ‘gravely hurtful to the dignity of the See of Dublin.’
