Letter from +Robinson to +McQuaid stating that the Bishop of Galway, Dr. Browne, has sent a proposal to the Holy See with regard to sponsoring six Lithuanian or Ukrainian students at University College Galway. He suggests that the balance of the monies held for the relief of Polish refugees in Ireland could be used as a contribution towards his proposal. He asks to know the current balance on the account and if the Red Cross still has it.

Handwritten letter to +McQuaid from Sean MacBride. He spoke ex-tempore in Galway and had no script. He feels the evolution of a civilization based on materialism and scientific development will be disastrous unless a sense of moral and ethical responsibility can be inculcated in these people. This can only be done through education. This will rest largely with the Church.
