The Archbishop would like to meet the Chief Superintendent and also Superintendent Fleming.

Telegram to + McQuaid from George Griffin, Mogeely, Cork, asking him to intervene on behalf of Messrs Fleming and McGaughey, hunger strikers, and obtain their release.

Handwritten letter to Fr. MacMahon from Philip MacMahon apologizing for the delay in getting the particulars requested. He would be highly honoured to meet + McQuaid, as would Superintendent Fleming. Thanks him for his kind wishes on the occasion of his retirement.

Letters from Dr Cohalan, Bishop, to Rev. Mother concerning Sisters being released from their vows and leaving the convent, going to hospital, travelling, missing days from the Novitiate, permissions to go to a concert in Turner’s Cross, the use of legacies and how jubilees were to be celebrated.

Handwritten letter from Philip MacMahon, Tempelogue. He inspired the article in the Evening Herald, 20 January 1968, for the purpose of exposing the Communist Groups in the I.R.A. and in the agitational movements. Mentions he is retiring after 45 years’ service. Superintendent Fleming will also be glad to help.

Fleming, Army Intelligence, reported that Roy Johnson, Roger McHugh and Jeffares met daily to compose letters to The Irish Times in reply to Fr. O’Neill. Fr. Kent to speak to Fr. Nolan regarding the Globe Theatre Group which recently staged The Ginger Man Fr. Fehily to ask Fr. O’Connor of the Columban Fathers about the Irish Workers’ League.
