Handwritten draft and typed copy of a letter to Mr. Finnegan, President, ASTI, from +McQuaid. Due to the stalemate reached between the Minister for Education and the ASTI, +McQuaid and the Managerial Bodies have done all they can at present. In view of the grave responsibility of the Headmasters and Headmistresses towards parents and pupils he feels it incumbent on him to invite the Managerial Bodies to consider offering their help to the Minister in respect of supervision and correction of the Certificate examinations.

Handwritten letter to Father Finnegan from Seo. O Ceannaigh, Leinster Council, Irish Republican Army, Woodpark, The Rise, Glasnevin regarding collections for the needy widows of I.R.A. personnel. The Parish Priest instructed that no collections were to be made in the parish without his permission. This is wrong, smacks of Communism, and the people resent the P.P. wanting everything for him and nothing for the missions and charity.
