Typed letter to Fr. O’Connell from Mrs Dunphy. She is delighted that His Grace will accept a copy of her book, and informs him of the grant from Dr. Douglas Hyde of a gold medal for the best painting of an Irish historical subject to be presented annually.

Letter from Mgr. Gerada to +McQuaid thanking him for The copy of Douglas Hyde’s reply to the query concerning his report in ‘The Catholic Herald’. He believes this will be very useful to the Secretariat of State of His Holiness as they may wish to know more about the Irish delegation to which reference in made in the Report.

Douglas Woodruff wrote the article on the attitude taken by the Irish Hierarchy to the Mother and Child Scheme, while he himself compiled the account of what had taken place. Difficult for readers to judge who wrote what article.
