              Correspondence regarding routine community life and apostolate from the first invitation from the Archbishop to undertake a day secondary school either at Finglas or Lucan, to their eventual establishment at Finglas. Their regretful inability to accept invitation due to shortage of personnel leads to later acceptance. Various sites are considered, including an offer from Sisters of Charity, Cappagh. Finally, a foundation is made and a school opens. A case of dispensation from vows.

He reminds McQuaid that the day of his consecration is a Friday and suggests it would be appreciated if he issued a dispensation as his first act.
