Typed letter to Fr. Diffney. Name and address redacted. Through being Secretary of the International Committee of IHA she had communication with Minnis Pallister, a BBC broadcaster. Got impression that Pallister thought Ireland was a bigoted place so she set out to change her mind. Arranged a visit to the Dail to meet Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Crowley. Visit most successful. Minnie changed her mind. Pointed out to her that Protestants did not seem to want to co-operate as good citizens and were still keeping up English traditions. The Cork Branch of IHA has folded up. Dublin Branch active. It must be kept alive as there are Communists on their books and can be tracked. Lilly O’Rourke showed true colours at film that showed starvation in Leningrad. Girl objected to Mrs. Edwards being elected catering overseer in the Hospital Trust as she was a Communist.
