He reminds McQuaid that the day of his consecration is a Friday and suggests it would be appreciated if he issued a dispensation as his first act.

He will forward this information to the Canadian Hierarchy. He states that Mgr. Moylan and himself went in the car of the Nuncio of Vienna to within 29 miles of the Iron Curtain but they did not approach any closer. He describes it as a strenuous trip.
