Copy letter form +McQuaid to +O’Hara concerning the Assumptions Sisters’ desire to have a foundation in Dublin. He has already written to them stating that there is no hope at the moment. This is the 226th request for a religious house in Dublin. There is fear among the Bishops that if allowed in, these Orders will take vocations from our own congregations, at home and abroad. He has also had to intervene in the area of sending girls to foreign postulant and novitiate centres. He hopes his attitude is understood.

Copy of a typed letter to Mr. Justice Maguire, Chairman, Irish Red Cross Society, from +McQuaid. He shall be glad to assist and suggests they approach the Provincials of the Orders or Congregations in the Diocese. He recommends the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny, Mt. Sackville, Chapelizod.
