Fr. Mokncree was originally belonging to the Cashel diocese, but was granted an exeat during the inter-regnum in 1622; as a Vicar-Capitular cannot grant a definitive exeat, Fr. MoEncree was never fully released from Cashelk/ altheugh Dr. t. is his request to return is quite legal, reluctant to let him go; testifies to Fr. Mctnereets good character and zeal. Dr. Laffan has added a note giving text of original 'exest' grsnted by him (L.) en 13 July 1922.

Dr. Ceppinder te L. Discusses the problem which Irish bishops have in delegatinq their powers of dispensing in matrimonial cases; the late Dr. Bray teld him (Dr. C.) that a copy of a Grant, sent from Rome, was in the Cashel archives; the Roman authorities do not seem to be aware of this original grant.

L. te Dr. Sugrue Reply te previous letter (no date given); the Roman authorities have censulte himon the appointment of a ceadjuter; there have been unavoidable delays, but now everything seems to be settled and an early appointment should be expected.

The President has agreed to attend and he hopes the Archbishops of Tuam and Cashel will do likewise. He enjoyed his time at Clonliffe the previous day and was glad to have met the Parish Priests of the Diocese.
