Letter from John Schwatschke, Carlow to +McQuaid asking permission to paint him for an upcoming exhibition. Annotation states he is not having his portrait painted by anyone.

Letter from +Patrick Lennon, Bishop’s House, Carlow, to +McQuaid, stating he received his letter and the day of fasting will take place on 15th October. He states that the ‘Holy Father’s appeal certainly underlines the seriousness of the situation’.

Note from secretary to +McQuaid stating +Gerow wishes to visit with the Archbishop. He is currently in Carlow.

Brennan has been appointed as President of St. Patrick’s College, Carlow, so he must resign his position on I.E.R. Fr. Duff is willing to take over Fr.
