              Includes; letter from Mother Clare Callaghan to Bishop Coppinger; letter from Dr. Moylan, Bishop of Cork to Dr Troy Archbishop of Dublin, dated 7 November 1788, giving details of Nano Nagle’s life and the mission of the Ursuline and Presentation Sisters; copy of a letter written on 3 February 1814 by Mother Clare Callaghan of the South Presentation Convent, Cork, to Mother Mary Joseph MC Loughlin, foundress of the Presentation Convent, Kilkenny, the subject of the letter is the death of Dean Robert McCarthy, V. G. last superior of the Irish college at Toulouse. He helped the Presentation Sisters through early difficult days and photocopy of a letter from T.P. Bigger to M. F. Tobin, dated 21 August 1802.

              Typed minutes of ‘V’ Committee meeting. Its function this year is to report to + McQuaid in detail on officials of the various trade unions. Each member was given 22 trade unions with names of officials. The V. Rev. Chairman had a report, compiled by the Knights of Columbanus in 1948, on Communist members and their activities. Fr. Crean was delegated to approach Colonel Callaghan, the Head of Army Intelligence, to update the list of Communist Party members. Information was sought on journalists Brian O’Neill, Tony Malone, Annie Kelly, Maurice Hickey, Don Rooney and Michael McInerney.

              Copy of typed letter to The Governor, No. 1 Internment Camp, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, informing him that the undersigned interned Irish Republicans intend to go on hunger strike from the 24th instance for their unconditional release. They sent communications to Mr. de Valera, Mr. Gerard Boland, His Eminence Cardinal MacRory, His Excellence Most Rev. Pascal Robinson, Nuncio Apostolic, requesting that these be forwarded. Signed by Sean MacCumhaill, Sean Maxwell, Peadar Houston, J.G. O’Doherty, Seamus Gerard Bohan, John Curran, Christopher O’Callaghan, Terence McLoughlin. This is an eleven-page document.
