Archbishop approves foundations for schools at Walkinstown and Cabra West on explicit condition that ‘…the Brothers must observe honorably the provisions of their own Constitution’ for he is opposed to ‘enrolling only intelligent boys of a certain middle class.’ St. John of God Brothers interested in the Christian Brother property at Celbridge, ‘Artane is the most trying post in your Congregation; about 10 times too large.’ 87 items

The solution seems to be for the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul to open a Colony where the patients could be constantly supervised and saved from the deterioration which must occur.

Typed letter to +McQuaid from Sr. M. Alberta, Dominican Convent, Cabra. The Standing Committee of the Conference of Convent Secondary Schools decided that a protest should be made to the Government concerning certain Sections of the Bill affecting schools and school children. Letter of protest submitted for approval.
