Brothers seek a juniorate; a house of formation is approved on Malahide Road. Archbishop approves U.C.D. course in religion and philosophy for Brothers; his suggestions. Oatland, Stillorgan purchased for primary and secondary schools. Archbishop approves foundations for schools at Walkinstown and Cabra West on explicit condition that ‘…the Brothers must observe honorably the provisions of their own Constitution’ for he is opposed to ‘enrolling only intelligent boys of a certain middle class.’ St. John of God Brothers interested in the Christian Brother property at Celbridge, ‘Artane is the most trying post in your Congregation; about 10 times too large.’ 87 items

              Copy of typed letter to Sean MacEntee from +McQuaid. The removal of 116 girls and women from St. Vincent’s Home, Cabra, to ease the situation there. The solution seems to be for the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul to open a Colony where the patients could be constantly supervised and saved from the deterioration which must occur.
