He mentions Bishop O’Brien, an American Bishop, who has been trying, in vain, to arrange a dinner with all the Irish Hierarchy and who will now try and meet some of the Bishops individually. Annotation by +McQuaid states ‘used throne, but did not recite mass or give blessing!’
