              Letter from +O’Boyle to +McQuaid. He thanks him for a copy of the regulations which are to be observed by all persons living abroad who make application to an adoption agency in the Archdiocese of Dublin. These regulations, he believes, will be found suitable for other dioceses.

              Note. Rev. F. Tarpey phoned to say that he had seen Master Frank Woods who said he was employed as a secret agent by the police. His task was to discover information on Communist activities in Dublin. Parents knew nothing about it but knew he had money. Fr. Tarpey contacted Sergeant Boyle whose job is to keep track of Communist activities. Boyle said Woods was in the Communists before he employed him at 10/- a week. Fr. Tarpey forbade the boy to go to sacraments until the matter is straightened out. Mgr. Dargan dealing with it. 548/1. Note on Jeffares in + McQuaid’s handwriting.
