The Secretariat of State wishes these days to be acknowledged in the form of religious celebrations, with the recitation of the ‘Pro Pontifice nostro Pio’. The Nuncio suggests that a special ceremony be held in the Pro Cathedral on 2 March and on 2 April to hold a special Mass under the presidency of Cardinal D’Alton in a church in the centre of Ireland, which can be selected at a later date. +McQuaid states he will arrange the ceremony at the Pro Cathedral and will inform the Nuncio of other celebrations in the Diocese in due course.
