Scope and content
Nevin, C.P., Eugene: Autobiography of Fr. Eugene Nevin, C.P. This MS was, from internal evidence, (v. pp 21 and 22) written in 1954. While the MS is disjointed, it consists of several distinct parts, each of which is entered under a separate serial number and location ( serial numbers 7667-7671 locations 1/2/1/2-6). These parts, however, form a cohesive whole. This part, entitled, "Stray Memories" (serial no. 7667 located at 1/6/2/2) deals with his life up to his entrance into the Passionist Congregation. It covers a wide range of topics and contains many items about his native place which would be of interest to folklorists. This part is also typed in two sections: pp 1/115, bound in a blue cover and pp116/153 consisting of loose typed sheets.
