Photographic print of the graves of Fr. Martin St. John (d. 6 Oct. 1780) and Fr. Bryan McDonell (d. 3 July 1782) who were buried alongside Fr. Philip Forestall OFM (d. Dec. 1829) in St. John’s Old Churchyard, Dublin Road, Kilkenny. The print is annotated on the reverse in the hand of Fr. Angelus Healy OFM Cap.: ‘Graves of two OFM Caps and one OFM in graveyard, St. John’s, Maudlin Street, Kilkenny’. With a plan and notes re said plot by Fr. Angelus. Photographic copy print of a letter from Erskine Childers, Beggars’ Bush Barracks, Dublin, to Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap., declaring that he is ‘to die tomorrow at 7’. He states he will ‘die happy and undefeated and at peace with God and men’. Fr. Albert referred to this letter in his statement titled ‘The Case of Farther Albert, O.S.F.C.’, defending his actions and declaring his ‘absolute impartiality’ during the War of Independence and later at the outbreak of Civil War hostilities in Dublin in 1922 (CA IR-1-1-2-4-6).

Bound volume containing photographic prints of student friars at the Ard Mhuire House of Studies. Some of the prints are captioned. The album includes images of student friars at work (potato harvesting, bailing hay and routine household work) and at recreation (theatrical plays, weekend retreats, sleighing on snow-covered hills, and visits to the beach). Locations visited by the friars include Burtonport, Errigal Mountain, Aranmore, Doe Castle, Fanad and Kindrum. The album contains several views of Ard Mhuire Friary (formerly Ards House) and surrounding gardens. A small number of prints show friars examining what appears to be un-exploded ordnance on the shoreline. Other prints show ordinations at Ard Mhuire in 1955. Fr. Eustace McSweeney OFM Cap. and Fr. Donal O’Mahony OFM Cap. are present in some of the prints.

National Drama Festival, Thursday, 14th May 1953’. The remainder are photographs of dramatic performances (mainly pantomimes) and the audience in the Hall (predominately school children). A small number of the prints are press photographs from the 'Irish Press' and the 'Irish Times'.
