St. Patrick's Province: Books by members; 1851003 Keens, C.P., Sebastian St. Joseph's Manual of a Happy Eternity. This edition was published in 1879 and was believed to have been authographed by Blessed Charles, though signature is now missing. There are two further copies, both published in 1882 located at 47/1/1/3 and 4.

Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- this is in fact a letter, written on 3 postcards forty years after Charles's death, taking issue with a statement that had been made to the effect that the memory of Charles seems to have been forgotten. The writer is not identifiable

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: envelope bearing the following inscription: "Scripta Servi Dei N. 6 " and an episcoipal seal (Dublin?) which is now broken. The following details are typed on the envelope: " Contents: One Devotional Leaflet annotated by the Servant of God, Fr, Charles " The leaflet is entitled "A Prayer" and requests that the petitioner be preserved from sin for ever.

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: McEvoy Family: transcripts of two letters written by Blessed Charles to Mrs, McEvoy, and one by him to her daughter, Pauline. Mrs. McEvoy lived at Tobertynan House, Longwood, Co, Meath and the family was visited by Fr. Charles on several occasions. In gratitude for the gift of a baby daughter - some maintain as a result of intercession by Fr. Charles - they erected a shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes in the woods at their house in 1868. Fr. Charles may have blessed this shrine. For interesting developments re this shrine see correspondence located at 4/4/3/20-25. The daughter, Pauline, named after St. Paul of the Cross, may also have been cured in later life by Blessed Charles. She married the Duke de Stacpoole in 1883. These typescripts were made by Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., from the originals, loaned by Major George Stacpoole in 1961,

1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- copy of article published in February, 1893, less than a month after the death of Fr. Charles. Unfortunately, the title of the publication is not distingushable.

1846034 Blessd Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: McEvoy family:original letter (with typed copy attached) written by Blessed Charles from St. Paul's Retreat, Mount Argus, Dublin, to Miss Pauline McEvoy (address not quoted), thanking her for her help with raffle tickets and her proposed help with a bazarr. He also commiserates with her on her recent accident and assures her of his prayers for herself and her parents. Pauline's parents resided at Tobertynan House, Enfield, Co. Westmeath, and the family was visited by Fr. Charles on several occasions. In gratitude for the gift of a baby daughter (i.e. Pauline) - some maintain as a result of intercession by Fr. 1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P. McEvoy family and Blessed Charles: Bishop Grant: several letters from and on behalf of Bishop Grant, English College, Rome, to Pauline McEvoy's father. Mr McEvoy was a Member of Parliament and had succeeded in having the Eccleastical Titles Act repealed. Some of the correspondence is to congratulate Mr McEvoy for his work on the Act.
