Though efforts were made to buy our Founder's Birthplace in Ovada the owners were unwilling to sell. But, now the place has been bought for 35,000 lire (= £1,400 then) Seeing our love for St. Paul of: the Cross, the Provincial thinks the larger Retreats should cough up £20 each and the smaller ones £10. Now that our founder has been canonised, he changes the keeping of the Triduum into a Novena, on the same lines as those ordered by the Rule for Christmas, Pentecost and Assumption. The feast of St, Paul of the Cross is now transferred to April 28th.

St. Paul of the Cross - Diary and Letters:- this is a mimeographd copy of St. Paul's Diary and Letters prepared by the Passionists in Louisville Kentucky and mimeographed by the Passionist Nuns in Owensboro. The pages are contained in black plastic covers. A sticker on the front cover has the note "Ad usum, Fr. Barry, C.P. "(presumably Fr. Hilary Barry when he was attending universirty in U.S.A). "Fr. Barry" has been crossed out and "Novices" substituted.
