Your Grace my dear Archbishop
Mother Alice Mary and I came to
St. Josephs on July 12 and after the
visit of our Archbishop from home
Mother left for Kerry to see her
mothers people She returned again
on Saturday and we are settling
down to happy Community life.
It is a drastic change for Mother
after a Community of sixty Sisters
and over five hundred patients
However He Who called her to Ire-
nd will give all the graces
necessary for the work ahead of
her I know
Perhaps you expected me to write
Your Grace again telling of our arrival
I am sorry if I am at fault and
hope that you will see Mother as I
know she is most anxious to meet
you,. Perhaps you have been very
busy and could not arrange an
interview
Your Fatherly kindness toward me
these years past is a topic familiar
r Mother Alice Mary and she is look-
ing forward to seeing you.
Our workmen are on holidays but
I am pleased with what has been
done up to the present. Magnificat.
The night watchman came down
to us last evening about five o clock
to tell us that St Joseph had left
the premises. The statue which was
installed in the building is gone.
I hope it has no significance. You
have been our St. Joseph
,
I hope your Grace is well
with every kind personal wish and
a remembrance always before our Lord
I beg to remain my dear Archbishop,

Your Grace my dear Archbishop
After completing the Visitation of Schools
in three Dioceses, I am here for a few
days of quiet you can imagine what
happiness it is for me to be amidst
my own. There was a new joy in
just the ordinary salutation Good-
morning, Mother coming from my
own Sisters.
Before leaving Dublin I had the joy
of hearing the good news that the Minister
of Local Government has approved the
purchase of Edenmore and Mr. Ryan

much to give the impetus that af-
firs have taken and I am so deeply
grateful. No day passes without the
spesial mention of your name in my
prayers. I only hope that these are win-

that you are undertaking for the spread
of our Lords Kingdom.

My Lord Archbishop,
Mother de Pazzi wishes that I Keep you informed of the
position in this matter and for that purpose I send Your Grace

The Letter of 19th instant to Mr McAuley was written

It is now impossible that possession of Kellys house
can be obtained at the same time as Edenmore. The Nuns were hoping
to be able to reside in that house while the work was belng done at
Edenmore. Alternatively Mother de Pazzi thought that perhaps
(subject to Your Grace's approval) they might be able to occupy the
Gate Lodge. The views of Mr Jones the Architect about this Gate
Lodge are set out in my letter of I9th instant to Mother de Pazzi.

My Lord Archbishop,
At the request of Mother de Pazzi I send you copy of
my firm's Letter of 21st instant to Mr McAuley the Corporation
Valuer.
Mother de Pazzi's difficulty is that she has obtained
Approval from her Council for an expenditure of £12,000 If the
adaitional property were to cost the figure originally estimated-
about £5000- the total cost of the entire property on the basis
of the offer now made by the Corporation wauld be about £16,500.
It Is therefore important that she should know what the total cost
will be (if it exceed £12,600) before she approaches her Mother
General and CounciI again. The Corporation will prebably not
quote an inclusive figure until they have got the result of the
arbitration with regard to the additional property. It will be
some months before a final agreement can be reached.
