A sort is a piece of metal type representing a letter or symbol, cast from a matrix mold and assembled with other sorts bearing additional letters into lines of type to make up a form from which a page is printed. The file also includes two original card boxes holding the type sorts: an empty Adana Standard Printers’ Type / 12pt. Times Roman (lower case letters only) and 6pt. Rockwell Light type supplied by Eric W. Massey Ltd., 13 Harcourt Street, Dublin.
