A collection of twenty short stories by Marcella Kerin, Bank House, Phibsborough, Dublin. The stories were bound and submitted for potential publication in 'The Capuchin Annual'. A note on the first pages affirms that there are ‘36,000 words of wisdom’ contained in the volume.

Draft stories by Seán Crawford, The Square, Warrenpoint, County Down, titled ‘Father Hugh’, ‘Christmas before the War’, ‘The Storyteller’, ‘The Christmas Tree’, and ‘The Gaeltacht at my door’.

Street collection ledger book containing records of names, addresses and amounts subscribed probably in connection with a prize draw in aid of the Church Street Capuchins. The collections are arranged by street name or particular areas in Dublin. Reference is also made to the friars involved in the collections. The entry pages extant in the volume are pp 9-97; 201-208; 299-458. Inserts include statements regarding the use of income derived from street collections to pay off loans and debts from 1913-5. With gilt title ‘ledger’ to spine.

The volume list the names of collectors (probably members of the Third Order of St. Francis), and their sections (each section was organised under a religious name such as ‘St. Francis of Assisi', 'St. Aloysius', 'St. Brigid' etc.). A note dated March 1955 gives details of the amount of money collected which was subsequently given to the spiritual director of the Third Order. A list of novices of the Third Order (with addresses and dates of reception) is extant in the volume.

Street collection book for the Capuchin community, Church Street. The entries are listed under names and address of collectors, districts (usually street names), and monthly subscriptions. A summary for each year is recorded at the end of the volume. The total for the years 1920-1929 is given as £32,615 16s 1d.

Subscription and membership lists of Third Order brothers attached to the Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny. One of the lists arranges the brothers by district and prefect name (St. Louis, St Patrick’s, St. Columcille and St. Fidelis). The list is endorsed on the verso with a statement of Third Order accounts for 1934.

Subscription book containing a list of subscribers and guarantors for the fund for paying off the debt incurred on the construction of St. Mary of the Angels. Entries are listed under name, address and amount subscribed. Some entries are listed under the title of: ‘persons visited by Fr. Paul [Neary] and companion for meeting on 27 Feb. 1899’. A newspaper cutting from the 'Freeman’s Journal' [c.8 Mar. 1897] is pasted onto the reverse of the first leaf. The cutting contains a list of contributors towards the aforementioned fund. A monthly mass register record is extant on five pages at the end of the volume. Several manuscript and newspaper cutting inserts have been removed from the volume and placed in CA CS/2/3/7-8.
