Deed of Assignment regarding Sweetman’s Avenue, Blackrock. It is a true copy of a deed of 17 December 1818 from Michael McEvoy to Patrick Hanly. It refers back to land transactions involving the Reverend John Burrowes of Prospect, Blackrock, and William Hennessy in 1789. Includes a photocopy of the deed and also a page of notes from 1932 about the property.

Deed of conveyance for lands at Newtown on the Strand, Monkstown and Newtown Castle Byrne Blackrock, also known as Prospect. The lands, an annuity and fee farms rents are being conveyed from the Reverend Peter Duff, Saint Joseph's, Blackrock and William McEvoy, Dame Street, Dublin, to four grantees, all of whom are Vincentian priests based in Dublin at that time. The property has previously been held by other people such as, among others, John Cavanagh, members of the Campion family, Alexander Pilsworth of Ceylon and George Minchin of New Ross, County Wexford.

Order to demolish Blackrock Buildings

Order from Dun Laoghaire Corporation for the demolition of some buildings at Blackrock. These buildings are at Sweetman’s Avenue, Carroll’s Court and Murray’s Court. There is a schedule attached to the order, which lists many buildings in Blackrock and names their owners and lessees at the time. Most were not owned by the Vincentians. There are four copies of the order and schedule, one addressed to each of four Vincentian trustees of Saint Joseph’s College, Blackrock.
